TORONTO (NEWS 1130) – Tom Mulcair sat down with our friends at VICE today. To begin the town hall-style interview, Mulcair made it clear what he thinks about a coalition government.
“If on social, economic and environmental issues, that’s always been clear. The race politics that he’s been playing in this campaign has sealed the deal. I’ll do whatever I have to do to make that Stephen Harper never serves another day as prime minister of Canada after October 19th.”
Mulcair says Justin Trudeau is the one throwing cold water on the idea.
The NDP leader also reiterated his stance on the environment, an inquiry into missing and murdered aboriginal women, and the niqab.
“He (Harper) is trying to hide his record behind the niqab. I’m not going to let him use that weapon of mass distraction. I’m going to keep talking about Mr Harper’s record and why it’s high-time we got rid of him.”
